Overview

TradeCalc ("the Extension") is a browser-based trading calculator developed by Avantware LTD. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

Data Collection

TradeCalc does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically, the Extension does not collect:

Local Storage

The Extension uses Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save your calculator preferences (such as default currency, lot size format, and decimal precision) and cached exchange rates. This data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.

Exchange Rate Fetching

The Extension periodically fetches publicly available exchange rate data from a third-party API (open.er-api.com) to provide up-to-date forex rates. No personal or identifying information is sent with these requests — only a standard HTTP GET request is made. The fetched rates are cached locally on your device.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties.

Remote Code

The Extension does not load or execute any remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. All functionality is contained within the extension package.

Permissions

The Extension requests the following browser permissions:

No other permissions are requested. The Extension does not access your browsing data, tabs, or any website content.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Since no data is collected, changes are unlikely.
